Madelyn Sneed-Grays is a representational oil painter born in Dallas, TX. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014 with a B.F.A in Studio Art. Sneed-Grays’ work focuses on multiple series that address racial inferiority, cultural diversity and cuisine. Her work was recently selected to be included in the LSU Museum of Art’s permanent collection by way of the Winifred and Kevin P. Reilly Initiative for Underrepresented Artists and she received an Honorable Mention Award at the 3rd Annual National Juried Exhibition at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art. Sneed-Grays hopes that her work encourages the exploration of different cultures and brings awareness to the humanity and beauty of the Black community.
